Thorngate Trust’s aim is to help the residents of Gosport who find themselves in need of financial help. Assistance is often needed to fund furnishings, cookers, washing machines etc. when people are moving from temporary accommodation into more settled homes. Help may also be required for school uniforms, travel to hospital appointments or visits etc.

Grants to individuals can only be made to persons who are residents of the Borough. There are different types of grants available.

  • Relief in Need – to support the poor and needy in Gosport
  • Educational Grants – assistance towards further education and vocational courses
  • Community Based Appeals – for fund-raising activities which will benefit the Gosport community
